About Lakshadweep

Lakshadweep a breathtaking tropical archipelago scattered across the Arabian Sea off the southwestern coast of India with its vast network of coral formations.

It comprises 36 islands spanning only 32 square kilometres of total land area, but it sits amidst a massive 4,200 square kilometres of rich lagoon ecosystems.

Lakshadweep is unique as India’s only coral atoll chain. The islands are incredibly low-lying (mostly less than 5 meters above sea level) and are protected from the rough ocean waves by their natural coral barrier reefs.

How to Reach

By Air

Lakshadweep is primarily accessed through Kochi (Cochin), Kerala, which serves as the main gateway to the islands. An entry permit is required for all visitors.

For this Agatti + Bangaram/Thinnakara package, the most convenient option is to fly to Agatti Airport, the only airport in Lakshadweep. Regular flights operate from Kochi to Agatti, and the Lakshadweep Administration also lists connectivity from Bengaluru and Goa.

By Sea

Passenger ships also operate between Kochi and Lakshadweep. Depending on the island and vessel, the journey can take approximately 14–18 hours.
